If you have a child in school, daycare, sports, camp, or extracurricular activities, you know that it is a constant battle to keep up with all their stuff. Anything my kids have to take with them is likely to mysteriously disappear or fall into the abyss of lost and found. While there may be no cure for my children’s forgetfulness, I have found a great solution for keeping up with cups and bottles.

Disclaimer: I have used InchBug products for years and loved them, so I was thrilled to partner with them for a sponsored post. Though I was compensated for my time and received a free set of Orbit Labels for each kid, it in no way influenced this review. I am sharing my opinion on what I believe is a fantastic product.

Orbit Labels from InchBug are the Best

InchBug’s Orbit Labels are the best way to put your child’s name on baby bottles, sippy cups, sports bottles, or snack cups. I bought my first set of these about seven years ago before sending my son to daycare, and he is using the same ones as he heads back to school for second grade. If only other things I bought lasted that long!

When I realized I had to put J’s name on everything before sending him to daycare, I panicked a little. The new mom brain of mine freaked out at the chance that permanent marker might fade or sticker labels might come off with washing, especially with the high temperatures needed to sanitize them. What if his bottles got mixed up with another germy kid? I couldn’t stomach it!

(Remember being a fresh first-time mom? That me would be appalled if she saw that I just shrugged when my daughter ate a Goldfish off the mulch at the playground the other day. But I digress…)

Seven years and another kid later, I am not as worried about all the “what if” possibilities, but I don’t want to have keep buying cups and bottles over and over. The folks at InchBug have helped this mama out with that.

I bought the green Orbit Labels for my son seven years ago and they are still going strong!

Pros of Orbit Labels

Unlike traditional adhesive labels, Orbit Labels are reusable bands that fit snugly around cups. You personalize them with names, initials, phone number, or whatever fits your needs. They are safe for the dishwasher, microwave, and even for boiling or other sterilization methods. And you can easily move them between bottles and cups as your child grows.

InchBug Orbit Labels fit bottles and cups to transition with your child

Orbit Labels from InchBug fit a variety of cups and bottles to transition with your child from baby to big kid.

For example, in the seven years that I have used the SAME SET OF ORBIT LABELS, they have been on Dr. Brown’s eight-ounce bottles, sippy cups, Nuby straw cups, Contigo stainless steel water bottles, Tervis tumblers, Yeti cups, and a variety of sports bottles that seem to appear out of nowhere. I even use them on snack cups! (If you are looking for the best snack cup for little hands, I highly recommend this one from Ubbi. It was a lifesaver when traveling in China with my newly-adopted daughter.)

When L came home, you better believe I bought her a set before sending her to childcare and the church nursery. I think I’m going to start giving Orbit Labels as baby shower gifts! Or maybe as a practical birthday gift with a fun cup or something. (You know I’m a fan of non-toy gifts if you read this post.)

Cons of Orbit Labels

It’s really tough for me to find a flaw with these labels. They are, by far, my favorite. But if you use the Dr. Brown’s two-ounce preemie or standard four-ounce bottle, they are too narrow for the Orbit Label. But I used them on all the wide-neck varieties and the standard eight-ounce bottle from Dr. Brown’s.

The label is designed to be snug so your little ones can’t pull them off, so you need to be careful of overstretching them or they won’t work as well. That isn’t really a con as much as a warning.

The worse thing I can think of is if you leave them on the same container for months through dozens of dishwasher trips, they will collect a little residue under the label. But this is easily removed and hasn’t caused any actual problems.

Bottom Line and InchBug Review

Orbit Label’s are the best way to label your kids’ cups and bottles. They are reusable and don’t fade or peel off like their competitors. Because they transition seamlessly to a new drinking vessel, you can use the same one for years. I can attest to their longevity and recommend InchBug to moms all the time.
